This is the story about our challenges and the need we currently face at Emmanuel Christian School, as told by the children. Robin and Wendy Gutierrez have served for 9 years as administrators at the school as missionaries with Global Outreach International. The school is a ministry of a local evangelical church, Columna de Verdad, in Macas, Ecuador.
ECS has remodeled the host church building twice and rents two additional buildings in order to have space for more students to receive a quality Christian Education. The school has no room to grow. Many children remain on the waiting list or simply don’t enroll because of our limited facilities. The Ecuadorian school standards are requiring more green space.
Our vision is to build a new campus to serve 1000 students by 2018.
This campus will meet Ecuadorian laws for facilities and allow the School to provide a quality, Christ centered, internationally accredited education emphasizing instruction in English.
